We had a lot of fun visiting the circus in Fort Wayne! The students were so excited to see how the police shut down the roads for us. The animals and acts were also entertaining and everyone had a great time.
We have been working towards a reward for turning in homework. We finally met our goal this month and voted on a hot chocolate party as our reward. The students enjoyed drinking hot cocoa and reading.
The WILL bus visited Eisenhower and the third graders experimented with mittens. Students learned what a scientist is and how to ask testable questions. Students then worked together to discover if mittens make heat or just contain it. We decided that mittens cannot make their own heat. The students had a lot of fun using iPads and thermometers to answer this question.
We have enjoyed getting to meet our pen pal, Andrina! She will be going back to Switzerland on Friday and I know our class will miss her a lot. Andrina plays the harmonica and she shared a song with us.
